The start of May marks the beginning of Asian Heritage Month in Canada, and residents in Kelowna are invited to take part in a 31 days full of events, education and fun.

Asian Heritage Month is an opportunity for Canadians to learn about the history of Asian communities in Canada. Specifically, it is a time for Canadians to acknowledge the contributions that people of Asian origins have made throughout history to make Canada the country that it is today.

The theme for Asian Heritage Month 2024, is “Preserving the Past, Embracing the Future: Amplifying Asian Canadian Legacy.”

More information on Asian Heritage Month (AHM) is available at Canada.ca.
